Ingredients:
200gms Paneer,
3 big tomatoes
1 big grated onion
3 green chillies
1'' ginger piece
1/2 tsp red chillies powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
3 tbsp plain flour
oil for frying
for Filling
100gms grated cheese/peas
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 chaat masala
1/2 tsp oil
salt to taste
for making gravy spicy paste:
2 cloves
2 tsp Khus-khus/poppy seeds
1 tsp cashew nuts
2 Cardomom
- Put all four in mixer & make fine paste with the help of little water.
for Decoration
Chopped Corriander Leaves
Silver Leaf(optional)
Method:
- Cut paneer in 1X1'' square.
- Cut square paneer horizontally in two pieces, one should be thin and other should be thick.
- Now make hollow in middle of thick paneer pieces.
- Mix cheese, salt, black pepper & few corriader leaf and fill the hollow part.
- If you are using peas- heat oil in the pan. add boiled peas on it & stir for 1 minute. Now add all masala on it. then fill the hollow with that mixture.
- Cover the thick paneer hollow with thin paneer.
- Make a thin batter of Plain flour, salt & water.
- Cover the paneer with the batter & fry it lightly.
- Prepare the thick tomato puree with tomatoes.
- heat oil on the pan & fry onion for 1 minute upto to golden brown in colour.
- Add the Massala Paste into the pan & stir for 1minute.
- Now add tomato puree and cook for 2 mins.
- If the gravy is thick , you can add little water in it.
- Add salt, tumeric powder, red chillies powder and garam masala powder into it & cook for 1 minute. turn off the heat.
- Take a bowl, place paneer at bottom & cover the paneer pieces with gravy.
- Decorate it with Corriander leaves & silver leaf.
- Serve hot.
